Un’amicizia interdisciplinare

Abstract

In their teaching at the Scuola Normale, during the fifteen years or so in which they were colleagues, albeit from different viewpoints, Armando Petrucci and Alfredo Stussi shared common interests and themes. The importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration was thus impressed on students by practical examples and, on Petrucci’s part, became the starting point for investigations of manuscripts, printed books, libraries and archives, following a line of research perfectly expressed by the title of the journal he founded and directed «Scrittura e Civiltà».
