Abstract

Petruccian palaeography constitutes, still today, a novel proposal for the analysis of the written testimonies produced by social organizations. It aspires to understand society, made up of literate and illiterate people, as well as the contradictions inherent in its diffusion and uses of writing, closely related to the unequal distribution of wealth.
