Abstract

The essay proposes a reflection on one of the themes at the heart of Armando Petrucci’s scientific interests, literary autographs, in relation to the figures of Dante, Boccaccio and Petrarch; some of his studies have been reviewed, trying to grasp the signs of an evolutionary path and also trying to highlight their ability to initiate the research itineraries undertaken by scholars who were able to develop Petrucci’s formidable intuitions by walking in often different directions than those indicated by Armando, who was then able to go with them along these new roads.
